Marc Oertel

Marc Oertel is currently a Security Expert for IoT Charging Solutions at Elli, a brand of the Volkswagen Group, since July 2023. Previously, Marc served as a Projektleiter at EDAG Group from March 2019 to July 2023, overseeing comprehensive project management in cybersecurity, including test management and the development of a cybersecurity test process in accordance with ISO 21434. Marc also contributed as a System Engineer, defining software architecture for battery management systems and coordinating functional security testing projects. Prior experience includes a role as a student assistant at Technische Universität Berlin, focusing on the digitalization of decentralized energy systems and the integration of electric vehicles into local energy networks. Marc holds both a Bachelor and a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Technische Universität Berlin.
