Thomas Reber is a skilled software architect with extensive experience in modernizing DevOps processes and systems at Ellington Management Group since April 2020. Thomas successfully transitioned source control from TFVC to Git and upgraded the build system from Jenkins to Microsoft TFS, while also implementing CI/CD pipelines. Previously, as a quantitative software engineer, Thomas developed tools for trading desks and collaborated with research and risk management teams on Python script deployment for desk modeling and risk calculation. Earlier roles at Ellington Management Group included a quantitative developer intern, where Thomas created a full-stack application for Residential Loan trading, and a research analyst co-op, responsible for developing a trade entry platform with Bloomberg API integration. Thomas’s experience also includes serving as an assistant to the executive estate manager for the estate of Stephen Schwarzman, ensuring smooth operations during renovation. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Quantitative Modeling in Economics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
