Derrick Foard

Derrick Foard is a litigation attorney at Ellis & Winters LLP, where employment commenced in October 2022. Prior to this position, Derrick held the role of associate attorney at Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote from December 2020 to October 2022 and at Hedrick Gardner Kincheloe & Garofalo LLP from April 2019 to December 2020. Early legal experience includes a law clerk position at Hunter & Everage and serving as a student attorney at Campbell Community Law Clinic. Derrick's legal training also encompasses a legal externship with Duke Energy Corporation's Office of General Counsel and an ADR externship with the EEOC, focusing on employment discrimination claims. Additional internships with Hopler, Wilms, & Hanna and Costner Law Office contributed to Derrick’s foundational legal knowledge. Derrick holds a Juris Doctor from Campbell University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.
