Principal QA Analyst - Colleague Platform at Ellucian

Amy Westerman has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Amy began their career as an Administrative Assistant at Justice Resource Institute/Boston Secure Treatment in 1990. From there, they worked as a Planner I at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, where they developed and maintained computerized project planning and invoice tracking systems.

In 1997, Amy joined Crimson Language Services as a Desktop Publisher, where they developed and maintained company databases and provided technical support. After a year, they moved on to SoftMed Systems, Inc. as a Technical Engineer, responsible for product installation and support of proprietary SQL-based applications.

Amy then joined Ellucian in 2004 as a Software Support Analyst, assisting customers with understanding and utilizing large complex software systems in the higher education industry. Amy later transitioned to the role of Principal QA Analyst, specializing in manual and automated testing of APIs and the Colleague platform using Postman and JavaScript.

Throughout their career, Amy has demonstrated strong technical skills and has experience in troubleshooting and customer support. Their work experience spans over 30 years, showcasing their expertise and dedication in the technology field.

Amy Westerman has a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University, which they obtained from 1986 to 1989. Prior to that, they attended West Chester University of Pennsylvania from 1984 to 1986, but the field of study and degree obtained are unknown. In addition to their formal education, Amy has obtained various certifications, including OWASP Top 10 certifications in different areas of web application security from LinkedIn, with the most recent certifications obtained in 2021. Other certifications include UX Foundations: Accessibility, Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues, Programming Foundations: Software Testing/QA, and Source Code Control in .NET with Git Using SourceTree, obtained in previous years.
