Andy Bynum

Andy Bynum has a extensive work experience in the field of information technology spanning over several decades. Andy is currently serving as the Global Chief Information Officer and Senior Vice President at Ellucian since January 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Forrester as an Executive Partner and Vice President from February 2017 to January 2021, where they provided guidance and leadership in digital transformation for various organizations. From 2013 to 2017, they held the position of Corporate Vice President and CIO - Global Head of Information Technology at AMD, a multinational semiconductor company, where they managed a 900-person team and contributed to improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness. Before that, they were the Vice President of Information Technology (CTO) at Freddie Mac from 2010 to 2013, overseeing a 250-person team and managing a significant budget. Andy also served as the Vice President of Information Technology/Production Services at GXS from 2009 to 2010, where they led a team of 180 individuals and was responsible for streamlining IT systems. Additionally, they held senior roles at National City Corporation, DTE Energy, Intermec Technologies, Sirco, and served as a Commissioned Officer in the United States Marine Corps.

Andy Bynum holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Microbiology from The University of Kansas. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including Forrester ZTX Strategist (ZTX-S) from Forrester in 2020, CIO Academy from Deloitte in 2014, Business of Banking from the American Bankers Association in 2009, and ITIL Foundation Level from EXIN in 2005.
