Danna Gianforte has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of information technology and management. Danna started their career as a PC Systems Support Analyst at University Computer Systems, Inc. in 1999. Later, they worked as a Senior Software Applications Developer and Senior IT Manager at Texas A&M University. In 2007, they joined Pepperdine University as the Senior Director of Enterprise Information Systems. Danna then moved to Middlebury College as an Associate CIO and Director of Enterprise Applications in 2010. In 2011, they joined The University of Georgia as an Associate CIO. Two years later, in 2014, they became the Chief Information Officer at Stanford University. From 2016 to 2019, they served as the Chief Information Officer at the University of California, Riverside. Currently, they are working at Ellucian, where they have held various roles, including VP of Digital Transformation and VP of Global Services Innovation.

Danna Gianforte attended the University of California, Berkeley from 2019 to 2020, where they obtained a Certification in Digital Transformation: Leading People, Data & Technology. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Software Engineering from Texas Tech University, graduating in 2008. Danna's undergraduate education was at Texas A&M University from 1996 to 2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Management Information Systems. In addition to their formal education, Danna has obtained certifications including PCI Internal Security Assessor and PCI Professional from the PCI Security Standards Council, as well as the Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
