Rob Davenport has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology. Rob started their career as a sales associate at Harvey Norman in 2012. From 2015 to 2016, they worked as a Workshop Technician at Camara Education Ltd., where they were responsible for pre-testing, troubleshooting, and refurbishing computers for education in the Third world.
In 2016, they joined Computer Technical Services as an IT Support Technician. Rob then became self-employed as a freelance computer technician from 2017 to 2018. During this time, they gained valuable experience in providing technical support and troubleshooting for various clients.
In 2018, Rob worked as a Deskside Support Technician at KPMG, where their role involved deploying mobile phones, laptops, and desktops. Rob also managed large deployments and troubleshooted technical issues using the service now ticketing system.
From 2019 to 2022, Rob worked at ITGroup.ie as a Rollout Engineer, specializing in imaging and deploying laptops and desktops using Windows 10 deployment tools. Rob also assisted users remotely and on-site and managed WEEE and safe removal of HDDs to comply with GDPR regulations.
In 2019, Rob briefly worked as a Deskside Support Technician at Evros Technology Group, where they played a key role in imaging and deploying laptops, desktops, and mobile phones, and provided support to users remotely and on-site.
From 2022 to 2023, Rob joined AIB as an Infrastructure Analyst, focusing on maintaining and improving the igel thin client network across AIB branches and offices. Rob also oversaw change requests for storage access and elevated access request and assisted with BAU testing.
In 2023, Rob worked as a Support Specialist at Allianz Technology, where their responsibilities included providing support and assistance to users.
Currently, Rob is working as an Information Technology Team Lead at Ellucian, a position they started in 2024.
