Songnian (Sonny) Jiang has over 30 years of work experience in software development. Songnian (Sonny) began their career in 1990 as a Senior Software Developer at Ketron Management Science. In 1994, they moved to NeuralTech as a Senior Software Developer. Songnian (Sonny) then worked at Unisys as a Senior Software Developer in 1995 before becoming an Independent Consultant at Litton/PRC, Northrop Grumman in 1997. Since 2008, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Ellumen, Inc., where they have experience with CMMI-DEV v1.3, ClearCase, GitHub, Oracle 8 thru 12g, Designer, Forms, Reports, SQL*Plus, MySQL, Java, J2EE, WebLogic, C++, C, XML, XSL, HTML, Json, Ant, Maven, MSWindows, Unix, Linux, Shells, Perl, Groovy, FHIR, HIPPA, DICOM, HealthShare, and HIMSS.

Sonny Jiang received a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 1990. Songnian (Sonny) then went on to receive a Master of Science in EECS from Shanghai Donghua University and a Bachelor of Science in EECS from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
