Amy Thompson

Amy Thompson has extensive experience in the field of counseling, currently serving as a counselor at Elmhurst Public Schools since August 1999. In addition to this role, Amy has been a member of the ICA since 1998 and held leadership positions in the IACAC Illinois Association for College Admission Counseling as Past President and President from June 2019 to June 2021. Amy's professional background also includes membership and delegation roles with the American School Counselor Association from 1999 to 2011 and serving as ISCA Representative and Treasurer for the Illinois Counseling Association from 2002 to 2009. Academically, Amy holds a BA in Art Education from Purdue University (1985-1989) and an MA in School Counseling from Concordia University Chicago (1998-1999).
