Elmhurst District 205 Public Schools
Joe Blomquist currently serves as the Assistant Superintendent for Elmhurst District 205 Public Schools since July 2025. Previously, Blomquist held the position of Director of Business Services at Lake Zurich CUSD 95 from July 2023 to June 2025 and at YORKVILLE CUSD 115 SCHOOL DISTRICT from July 2022 to June 2023. Between July 2015 and July 2022, Blomquist was the President of the St. Charles Education Association, where responsibilities included supporting and leading 1,000 educators and advocating for contractual rights. Blomquist began a teaching career at CUSD 303 in August 2000, continuing until June 2022. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in School Business Management and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Illinois University, as well as a Bachelor's in Music Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Elmhurst District 205 Public Schools
Elmhurst Community Unit School District 205 currently serves more than 8,000 students who reside primarily in the City of Elmhurst and small portions of Oak Brook, Bensenville and Addison. Approximately 90 percent of students live in Elmhurst with the remainder living outside of the City, but within the District 205 boundaries. (District boundaries are NOT contiguous with City boundaries.) At present, District 205 maintains fourteen schools (eight elementary schools, three middle schools, York Community High School, a Transition Program and the Madison Early Childhood Education Center).
