Erik Smith

Erik Smith is a seasoned professional in the real estate development sector, currently serving as the Director of Development at Elmington since May 2023. Previously, Erik held the role of Senior Development Associate at Elmington and completed an MBA Summer Associate position at the same firm in 2022. Prior to Elmington, Erik was an Associate in Real Estate Private Equity at Chesapeake Advisory Group, LLC, where involvement included financial and strategic advisory services. Erik also gained experience as an MBA Intern at Camber Creek and worked for the Housing Opportunities Commission in various financial analyst roles. Earlier career experiences include a sales associate position at Dick's Sporting Goods and an internship with the United States Congress assisting the Honorable Elijah E. Cummings. Erik holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a BA in Economics from the University of Maryland.
