Teresa Degarmo

Teresa Degarmo is an experienced professional currently serving as the Family and Community Outreach Coordinator for the Elmira City School District, focusing on developing programs that foster community engagement and connecting families with local services since August 2019. Previously, Teresa held the position of Director of Communications at the Finger Lakes Wine Country Tourism Marketing Association, leading marketing initiatives to enhance tourism in the region from January 2010 to February 2018. Teresa's prior roles include Marketing Communications Specialist at Corning Incorporated, Community and Media Relations Specialist at Talisman Energy USA, and Reporter/Videographer and Intern Reporter at WENY-TV. Teresa possesses a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania and an Associate in Arts in Liberal Arts from Corning Community College, along with an Honors Diploma from Williamson High School.
