Carl Cosmos has worked in the tech industry for over 20 years. In 2001, they started their career as a CAD Intern at Micron Technology. In 2004, they moved to MontaVista Software as an Infrastructure Engineer, where they implemented software and infrastructure to improve product quality. In 2008, they joined Pixar Animation Studios as a Senior Software Engineer, where they were the project lead on enhancements to the company's revision control strategy. In 2010, they started working at vt100 as a Musician & Audio Engineer, composing music and working with sounds in various contexts. In 2017, they became the Director of Filma Collective: Makerspace and Coworking. Most recently, in 2022, they joined Elodie Games as a Build Engineer.
Carl Cosmos began their educational journey by obtaining a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara between 1999 and 2003. Carl then went on to receive an M.S. in Computer Engineering from San Jose State University between 2004 and 2006. Lastly, they obtained an Associate of Science - AS in Music Technology from Foothill College between 2009 and 2011.
