Eleanor F. Finger

Eleanor F. Finger, Ph.D., serves as the Assistant Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Campus Life at Elon University since July 2017, where leadership is provided for enhancing student experiences through innovative programs. Previously, as Chief Housing Officer and Director of Housing and Residence Life at Virginia Tech from August 2011 to June 2017, Eleanor managed a comprehensive residential program housing a significant portion of the student body. Prior roles include Associate Dean of Students and Director of Residence Life at Washington State University, along with positions at Simmons College and John Carroll University. Eleanor holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from Washington State University and multiple degrees in Counseling, Higher Education Administration, and Elementary Education.
