Patrick Cunningham

Patrick Cunningham serves as the Director of Live Broadcast Production at Elon University since May 2023, following experience as a Freelance Broadcast Professional with Mizzou Broadcast Operations from August 2021 to May 2023. With a strong background in sports communication, Patrick functioned as a Staff Writer for NHL Trade Rumors from June 2018 to May 2023, analyzing hockey and crafting articles focused on players, teams, and NHL history. Previous roles include Production Assistant for ESPN and Student Production Assistant at the Virginia Tech Athletic Department. Patrick also completed an internship with Van Wagner Sports & Entertainment, focusing on editorial work and social media outreach, and served as a Public Relations Social Media Assistant for the Atlantic Coast Conference. Patrick holds a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor's degree in Multimedia Journalism with a concentration in Sports Media Analytics from Virginia Tech.
