Ryan Mattfeld

Ryan Mattfeld serves as an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Elon University since August 2018, previously holding the position of Assistant Professor. Prior experience includes roles at Clemson University from August 2012 to May 2018, where Ryan contributed as a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant, developing a visual inspection system, publishing research on latency in head-mounted displays, and facilitating master's student projects. Prior to academia, Ryan held multiple summer internships at Hartness International, focusing on electrical engineering tasks such as creating Human Machine Interface displays and developing macros in Excel. Ryan's academic qualifications include a Ph.D. and M.S. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, as well as a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, all attained from Clemson University.
