Gabriele Barbieri

Gabriele Barbieri is a Chief Data Scientist with experience in various companies and research laboratories. Gabriele has worked at ELQANO since September 2020, where they focus on connecting people and knowledge in large organizations. Prior to that, they worked at Qucit from March 2016 to September 2020, contributing to the development of smarter cities. Before their role at Qucit, Gabriele was a Dialog Engineer at Aldebaran - Softbank Group from October 2012 to February 2016, where they developed conversational skills for humanoid robots. Gabriele also pursued a PhD in Mathematics at the University of Bologna from January 2010 to December 2012, specializing in the use of Markov models for generating text. Gabriele gained research experience as an Assistant Researcher and PhD Student at Sony Computer Science Laboratory from January 2011 to July 2012, and as an Assistant Researcher from January 2008 to November 2009.

Gabriele Barbieri's education history includes a Diploma in Mathematics from Liceo Scientifico M. Allegretti, Vignola (MO), which was completed from 1997 to 2002. Subsequently, from 2002 to 2008, they pursued and obtained a Master's degree in Mathematics from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
