Kyle Knouse is a co-founder and director of chemistry at Elsie Biotechnologies since February 2021. Prior to this role, Kyle served as a graduate research assistant at The Scripps Research Institute under the guidance of Phil S. Baran from June 2016 to June 2021, and also gained experience as an undergraduate research assistant at Temple University with William M. Wuest from June 2013 to May 2016. Additionally, Kyle completed a medicinal chemistry internship at Teva Pharmaceuticals in the summer of 2015. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from The Scripps Research Institute and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Temple University.

Elsie’s technology relies on a three dimensional platform that allows for the synthesis, deconvolution, and delivery of homogeneous oligonucleotide therapeutics. Our hope to leverage an out of the box way of thinking as well as a multidisciplinary approach to bring safer and more efficacious therapeutics to the market to treat the most intractable human diseases.
