Ruth McGowan

Ruth McGowan is the Operations & Strategy Director at Elvie. Ruth has over 20 years of experience in strategy and commercialisation. Ruth started their career at Costa Coffee, where they served as the Strategy & Commercialisation Director from August 2019 to February 2021. Prior to that, Ruth served as the Strategy & FMCG Director at Costa Coffee from January 2018 to August 2019. Ruth also served as the Strategy & Transformation Director at Costa Coffee from August 2016 to January 2018. Ruth's most recent role before joining Elvie was as the 'Start-up' CEO for Tesco PLC's Crowdsourcing Innovation from March 2014 to August 2016, where they created an innovative, new, digital business concept and sourced funding to incubate and then develop, trial and launch a 'start-up'.

Ruth McGowan is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned their degrees in engineering.

Their manager is Sarah Highfield, COO & CFO. They work with and Shilan Amin - Head of Finance.
