Clinton Rodrigues has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Clinton has held various roles in different companies, starting with Bharti Axa Life Insurance as an Agency Manager in 2009. Clinton then worked at Mankad & Associates P&I Services as a Claims Executive from 2010 to 2011. After that, they joined Inchcape Shipping Services as a Claims Executive from 2011 to 2012. Following this, they worked at GAC Group as part of the Claims Management & Shipping Operations team in Muscat from 2012 to 2013. More recently, they have been working at Emarat Maritime, LLC, where they have held positions such as Senior Claims Specialist from 2013 to 2020, Assistant Manager from July to December 2020, Manager of Marine Claims and Insurance from January to May 2023, and currently serves as the Head of Department from April 2023.
Clinton Rodrigues has a diverse education history. Clinton obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (BCOM) degree in International Trade/Law from St Aloysius College, Mangalore in the years 2005 to 2008. In 2009, they pursued further studies at the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS London) where they focused on subjects such as Marine Insurance, Shipping Business, Shipping Introduction, Legal Principles, and Economics.
Clinton also pursued a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Law from the University of South Wales. While studying at the university, they also obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree, with a focus on Maritime Law and Shipping Transactions, from Law Society of Scotland.
Aside from their educational qualifications, Clinton also holds additional certifications. In 2019, they obtained certifications including the IMO - ISM CODE and ISO 14001 - 2015, both from IRCA Principal Auditor. Clinton also obtained the ISO 9001 - 2015 certification from the same institution in the same year.

Emarat Maritime operates a modern fleet of ships, recognized worldwide as the “Dubai Series”. Commencing operation in 1990 with focus on the regional agricultural products trade, the Company changed its strategy with the turn of the century and acquired the first handymax bulk carrier in 2001. Since then there has been no looking back and the current fleet stands at ten modern handmax and Super handymax bulk carriers, Three modern Aframax crude oil tanker, one VLCC tanker, three container feeder vessels and one multipurpose vessel.
