Casey Wagenaar

Casey Wagenaar, CPA has extensive work experience in finance and accounting. They are currently working as a Finance Manager in the Fractional CFO Practice at Emerge, an Embark company. In this role, Casey handles financial functions for clients, allowing them to focus on their core responsibilities. Prior to this, Casey worked at Embark as a Finance Manager and Manager in the Business Transformation department. They also worked as a Senior Associate in Business Transformation at the same company. Before joining Embark, Casey held positions as a Senior Financial Analyst at GCI Communication Corp. and a Financial Analyst at Summit Utilities, Inc. They also worked as a Forensic & Valuation Services Senior Consultant and Consultant at Plante Moran. Casey started their career as a Transfer Pricing Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers and also interned with the same company. Casey gained teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Olin Business School at Washington University. They were also a Resident Advisor at Washington University in St. Louis, where they provided guidance and support to students. Casey has also worked as an Honor Caddie at Columbine Country Club.

Casey Wagenaar, CPA has a solid education background. Casey completed a Master of Accounting (MACC) degree with a specialization in Accounting from Washington University in St. Louis between 2015 and 2017. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with a concentration in Finance and a minor in Political Science from the same institution between 2013 and 2016.

Before attending Washington University, Casey Wagenaar graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2013. Casey also attended Kent Denver from 2006 to 2009 and St. Annes Episcopal School from 1999 to 2006, completing their high school education at Arapahoe High School.

In addition to their formal education, Casey Wagenaar has obtained several certifications. Casey became a Certified Public Accountant through the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in December 2018. Casey also passed the Level 1 exam of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, accredited by the CFA Institute, in the same year. In more recent years, they obtained the Alteryx Designer Core Certification from Alteryx in September 2022 and the Workiva Platform Certification from Workiva in March 2022.
