The Embassy of Sweden in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur, serves as the official link between Sweden and Malaysia. Sweden and Malaysia have had strong ties since the establishment of diplomatic relations in 1958. The embassy covers a range of policy issues, including climate and sustainability, democracy and human rights, science and innovation, culture, and trade. Swedish businesses have a great presence in Malaysia, with almost 100 companies established to date, ranging from large multinationals to small and medium-sized firms.
