Jide Akinyode

Jide Akinyode is an advisor at Embedded Ventures. Jide was previously the program director, Aquanaut at Nauticus Robotics, Inc. and the PM/Technical Lead, Subsea Actuation. Jide was also a technology & engineering mentor at Fruition Technology Labs.

Jide has experience in product development, from concept to working prototype. Jide has led a multi-disciplinary team of engineers including mechanical, electrical and software engineers. Jide is responsible for the technical roadmap and investigating new technology to aid our subsea commercial interests. Jide has also established an engineering process for both hardware and software teams.

In their previous role as the PM/Technical Lead, Subsea Actuation, they developed a product line of electric actuators for subsea gate valves as a drop-in replacement to existing hydraulic systems. Jide grew the program from the initial $1.7mil contract to +$10mil program supporting three companies subsea electrification efforts. Jide was also responsible for the program management and contract negotiation with customers. Lastly, they acted as the lead electrical engineer for the project.

Lastly, they were a technology & engineering mentor at Fruition Technology Labs where they mentored startups on technology and engineering topics.

Jide Akinyode has a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
