Briony Jackson

Briony Jackson currently serves as the Head of Science Education and Public Engagement at EMBL since February 2025, following a role as Public Engagement Officer at the European Bioinformatics Institute from February 2019 to March 2025. Previously, Briony worked as a Science Learning and Participation Officer at the National Horseracing Museum from September 2013 to February 2019, and as a Scientist at LGC from September 2011 to September 2013, where responsibilities included project organization and laboratory work. Earlier experience includes serving as an On-site Resource Manager at SRG and as a Laboratory Technician at Pfizer Ltd. Briony holds an MSc in Science Communication & Society and a 2.1 Hons degree in Biochemistry, both from the University of Kent.
