Yvonne Lussi

Yvonne Lussi is a highly experienced scientific database curator, currently serving as a Senior Scientific Database Curator at EMBL since January 2022, after holding the role of Scientific Database Curator at EMBL-EBI from September 2016 to December 2021. Prior to these positions, Yvonne completed a postdoctoral role at the Biotech Research and Innovation Centre, University of Copenhagen, focusing on chromatin factors in C. elegans development from March 2011 to August 2016. Yvonne's earlier experience includes a research associate position at Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research and a PhD in Cell Biology from the University of Basel, where studies were concentrated on nucleoporins. Initial roles involved services in molecular biology for the pharmaceutical industry and sales. Yvonne holds a Master of Science in Molecular Biology with a major in Microbiology from the University of Basel.
