Stephen D.

Stephen D. has over 16 years of experience in the field of information security. Stephen began their career in 2004 as a Chief Analyst/Database Administrator at the Institute for the Study of Violent Groups (ISVG). In 2007, they joined Tangoe as an Oracle Database Administrator and a Data Analyst. From 2012 to 2017, Stephen D. worked as a Database Administration Manager and a Database Administrator at 3M. In 2017, they moved to Apple as a Senior Database Security Engineer. Currently, Stephen D. is working as a Chief Information Security Officer and a Security Engineer at Embold Health. In their roles, they are responsible for designing and executing organizational policy, standards, procedures, and baselines to accomplish organizational objectives. Stephen also conducts assurance and governance-related audits and activities for HITRUST compliance with the chief privacy officer. Additionally, Stephen D. has led employee Identity and Access Management (IAM) under the access control policy and improved overall security through vulnerability testing, risk analyses, security assessments, and business impact evaluations.

Stephen D. has obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminal Justice from Sam Houston State University. Stephen has also obtained a range of certifications, including Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)², HIPAA Awareness for Business Associates and HIPAA Security from HIPAA Training, Oracle Database 10g Administrator Certified Professional - Version Retired and Oracle Database 11g Administrator Certified Professional from Oracle, and Security in Google Cloud Platform Specialization from Coursera.
