April Whisenant

April Whisenant is an experienced education professional currently serving as a Customer Experience Advocate at Embrace® Software for Educators since January 2023. Prior to this role, April held the position of Director of Special Education at the Education Service Center, Region 11 from July 2020 to January 2023. April also worked at Decatur ISD for 13 years in various capacities, including Director of Special Programs and Educational Diagnostician. Educational qualifications include a Master of Education in Special Education from the University of North Texas, along with two degrees from Texas Christian University: a Bachelor of Applied Science in Special Education and Teaching, and a Bachelor of Science in Education.
