Felipe Rodrigues da Silva

Felipe Rodrigues da Silva is a Bioinformatics Researcher at Embrapa Informática Agropecuária since October 2001, focusing on the development of genomic data analysis tools and serving as a member of the Applied Bioinformatics Laboratory. Previously, Felipe held a post-doctoral position at Unicamp / Instituto de Computação from September 2008 to December 2009, working with Dr. Zanoni Dias on next-generation sequence analysis, and served as a Professor at UniCEUB - Centro Universitário de Brasília from July 2003 to June 2006, teaching Biotechnology and Medical Genetics. Felipe completed a PhD in Genetics and Molecular Biology at Universidade Estadual de Campinas between 1997 and 2001, and was part of the team that sequenced the Xylella fastidiosa genome. Felipe also holds a Master's degree and a Bachelor's degree in Genetics and Molecular Biology from the same institution, as well as a foundational education in Biological Sciences from Colégio São Vicente de Paula and Edem - Escola Dinamica do Ensino Moderno.
