Joao Torres is an experienced professional specializing in information security with a robust background in management and team leadership. Currently serving as Team Leader of Information Security at Embratel since March 2022, Joao is responsible for the Architecture of Security, Threat Monitoring and Detection, Vulnerability Management, and Incident Response, focusing on ensuring security for digital transformation solutions. Prior to this, Joao held the position of Technology Security Manager at Getnet Brasil, where significant changes were made to enhance security effectiveness. Joao's career includes roles at Oi S.A as Cybersecurity Manager, overseeing threat detection and response, and as a Security Specialist, focusing on infrastructure security. Earlier experience includes managing the operations of Globo.com’s Data Center. Academically, Joao holds an MBA from Ibmec and a postgraduate degree in Computer Networks from Universidade Federal Fluminense.
