Amy Kao

Amy Kao is a seasoned professional in the field of immunology and neuroscience, currently serving as the Billerica Campus Head and Senior Vice President at EMD Serono, Inc. since January 2016. With a strong background in clinical development, Amy previously held roles such as Senior Medical Director for Global Clinical Development in Immunology at both EMD Serono and Biogen. Amy's academic contributions include serving as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Temple University and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh, specializing as a rheumatologist and researcher. Educational qualifications include an MD from the State University of New York Downstate Health Sciences University, an MPH in Epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public Health, and an MS in Biomedical Informatics focused on Clinical Informatics from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
