Russ Palmer

Russ Palmer has extensive experience in clinical operations and study management, currently serving as the Director and Head of Study Operations – Americas 1 at EMD Serono, Inc. since August 2008. In this role, Russ oversees over 100 local and investigator-sponsored studies, and has been appointed as the Clinical Operational Excellence Lead for CRM until March 2025. Previous roles include Senior Operations Manager and Associate Director, where Russ contributed to governance committees and earned Lean and Six Sigma Green Belt Certification. Russ’s career commenced at Alkermes, and progressed through various leadership roles at Serono, enhancing skills in clinical trial management and operations. Russ holds a BS in Biology from Gannon University and an Associate of Science degree from the University of New Hampshire.
