Karen Stewart

Karen Stewart, CMP has over 30 years of experience in the events industry. Karen currently serves as the Vice President of Operations at Emerald, a position they have held since December 2018. Before joining Emerald, Karen worked at Emerald Expositions (formerly Nielsen Expositions) for five and a half years as a Senior Operations Director. Prior to that, they spent eleven years at Nielsen Business Media (Nielsen Expositions) in various roles including Group Operations Director. Karen also held positions at Nielsen Business Media (formerly VNU) and VNU Expositions, where they gained valuable experience in event management and conference planning. Throughout their career, Karen has consistently demonstrated their strong leadership and operational expertise in the industry.

Karen Stewart, CMP received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Guilford College in 1990. Karen also holds additional certifications including a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from the Convention Industry Council obtained in 1994 and a Six Sigma Green Belt certification from ExpertRating obtained in 2012.
