Chris Calabrese has 14 years of private equity debt investing and 19 years of corporate and investment banking experience with the vast majority dedicated to leveraged lending. He is a founding Partner of LBC Credit Partners, which through its funds has provided and managed over $5B in loans and investments to over 200 companies. From inception in 2005 through 2018, Chris was responsible for the credit and portfolio management platforms across all LBC funds and ran the firm’s capital markets effort. He served on the LBC’s Investment Committee during the period.
Chris’ significant transactional experience includes structuring a variety of deal types ranging from equity buyouts to complex bankruptcy financings. Prior to LBC, Chris was Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Underwriting at Congress Financial Corporation (now part of Wells Fargo Capital Finance). He was also a Member of the Senior Credit Committee. Prior to that, Chris held a variety of asset-based lending roles for First Union (including predecessors CoreStates Banks and Meridian Commercial Finance) and Mellon Bank. Chris is a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is a former President of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA) Chris previously held NASD series 7, 24 and 63 licenses (currently inactive status).
He holds a BS in Business/Managerial Economics from Widener University and an MBA from Drexel University.
