Prof. Nick Mount currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer at University of Nottingham Online and has held the position of Professor of Learning Innovation at the University of Nottingham since January 2006, where advocacy for educational innovation and engagement with practitioners and policy makers is a central focus. As Academic Director for University of Nottingham Online, Prof. Mount leads the design and delivery of innovative online learning at scale, while also enhancing educational practices as Digital Learning Director within the Faculty of Social Sciences. Previous experience includes roles such as Director of Undergraduate Programmes and Associate Professor of Hydroinformatics, with expertise in intelligent computing and machine learning in hydrology. Additionally, Prof. Mount is a Venture Partner at Emerge Education, supporting EdTech initiatives. Academic qualifications include a BSc in Geography and Geology from the University of Bristol and a PhD in Geomorphology from Liverpool John Moores University.
