Anastasia Lindo Anderson

Anastasia Lindo Anderson, Ph.D., is the Chief Executive Officer at EMERGE since April 2022. Previously, Anderson served as the Superintendent of Schools at Promise Community Schools, BakerRipley from September 2014 to October 2021, where leadership focused on program design and development. Anderson has extensive experience in the Houston Independent School District, having held the position of School Improvement Officer from August 2003 to June 2013, overseeing the performance of numerous schools and achieving significant improvements in student outcomes. Prior roles include Principal at Paul Revere Middle School and Robinson Elementary, as well as Dean of Students at Westside High School. Anderson began the educational career as a Corps Member with Teach For America from 1993 to 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, a Master's in Educational Leadership from the University of Houston, and a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Administration from Texas A&M University.
