EMERGE
Hanade Abdalla is a dedicated College Success Intern at EMERGE Fellowship, supporting first-year students at The University of Texas at Austin since April 2018. With experience as Infirmary Staff at Camp Longhorn, Hanade developed clinical skills through hands-on nursing practices for campers aged 6-16 during the summer of 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy from February 2021 to July 2022, where responsibilities involved medication preparation, inventory management, and maintaining patient records. Additionally, Hanade contributed to the team as a Sales Floor Associate at Chick-fil-A-Franchise from July 2019 to September 2020. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Nursing at The University of Texas at Austin, education also includes a high school diploma from Westside High School obtained in 2020.

EMERGE's mission is to develop high-achieving students from underserved communities to be the next generation of leaders by preparing them to apply, attend, and graduate from the nation's top colleges and universities. EMERGE offers a student-to-college counselor ratio of 60:1 allowing staff members to work closely with students and their families to ensure success. EMERGE is an innovator among college access organizations nationwide and partners with selective schools that yield higher than average graduation rates and provides substantial financial aid for first-generation students from low-income communities. EMERGE scholars earn college degrees at 10x the national average for students from low-income, under-resourced communities.
