Dr. Port completed his BA in Political Science at the University of Michigan and MD at Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2002. His residency was completed in 2005 at GRMEP/Michigan State University Emergency Medicine Residency Program in Grand Rapids MI. Dr. Port has served on the ECS Board since 2011 and was elected to the Executive Team as Treasurer in 2017. From 2011 to 2017, Dr. Port served as the Zeeland Community Hospital Medical Director and the Ottawa County Assistant Medical Director. He served a 2-year term as the Chief of Staff at Zeeland Community Hospital from 2016-2017 and was Vice Chief the 2 years prior. Dr. Port previously served as the Regional Chief Medical Officer of ECS before taking on the role of Chief Medical Officer. When he isn't working, he enjoys building furniture in his wood shop, golf, cross country and road biking, running, and any other excuse to be outdoors.
