Maame Poku

Maame Poku is the Co-Founder & CTO at Emergency Response Africa. Maame has over three years of experience in product management and marketing, with a focus on digital product development. Prior to their current role, Maame was a Product Manager at Digital Natives Creative Inc., where they led cross-functional teams from product conception through launch, multiple iterations, and releases. Maame also launched over five digital products and marketing campaigns by managing the day-to-day technical, design, and strategic marketing direction of several products and clients. In their previous role as Program Coordinator at the University of Waterloo, they were responsible for designing and executing company-wide product development processes by defining and detailing user stories and prioritizing product backlogs with tools like Monday.com to enhance internal marketing and engineering practices.

Maame Poku has a Master's degree in Business Entrepreneurship and Technology from the University of Waterloo. Maame also has a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Management Information Systems, General from Ashesi University. Maame is certified from LinkedIn in Agile Foundations and Product Management First Steps. Maame is also certified from the Project Management Institute in Basics of Disciplined Agile. In addition, they have certification from Conrad School of Entrepreneurship and Business in Fundamentals of Management Consulting and Technical Sales. Finally, they have a certification from Università di Pisa in Enabling Technology for IoT.
