Andrew Coetzee

Chief Safety Advocate at Emergency Safety Solutions

Andrew Coetzee has extensive work experience in the automotive industry, primarily with Toyota. Andrew began their career in 2002 with Toyota Motor Sales, where they served as Vice President of Product Planning. In 2011, they transitioned to Vice President of Lexus Brand Development and Customer Services within the same company. From 2012 to 2019, Coetzee held the position of Group Vice President of Product Planning & Strategy at Toyota Motor Sales, USA. In 2009, they also worked at Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan as a General Manager. Coetzee retired from Toyota North America in 2019 and joined Emergency Safety Solutions as the Chief Safety Advocate in March 2020. In this role, they focus on eliminating preventable crashes involving vulnerable vehicles that are disabled and stopped on or near active roadways.

Andrew Coetzee obtained their BBA degree in Information Systems and Marketing from Andrews University, where they studied from 1979 to 1983. Andrew then pursued further education at the University of Michigan, earning an MBA in Marketing and Finance from 1986 to 1988.
