Lilong Huang

Lilong Huang has extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, currently serving as Tech Operations Lead in Manufacturing Operations at Emergent BioSolutions since October 2017, where oversight of COVID-19 vaccine technology transfer and scale-up is a primary responsibility. Previous roles include Associate Director of Manufacturing at bluebird bio, directing R&D vector manufacturing, and Senior Manager at Biogen Idec, leading advanced process control initiatives. Earlier positions involved technical support for sterile vaccine manufacturing at Merck and process engineering roles at Genzyme and Bayer. Lilong Huang holds a PhD and MS in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University and Tsinghua University, respectively, as well as a BS in Chemical Engineering from Beijing University of Chemical Technology.
