Lu Yang

Lu Yang is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Emergent BioSolutions since November 2020, Lu Yang contributes to the strategic direction of projects within Drug Substance and Development at the Enterprise Product Development Group, collaborating closely with technical leads to meet corporate goals. Prior to this role, Lu Yang worked at the National Institutes of Health from December 2012 to November 2020, advancing from Cell Culture Associate Scientist to Upstream Scientist, focusing on HIV monoclonal antibody projects and optimizing cell culture processes. Lu Yang's career began at Shanghai Celgen Bio Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. as a Cell Culture Supervisor, where successful cell culture and protein expression processes were developed for multiple projects. Lu Yang holds a Master's degree in Biochemical Engineering and a Bachelor's degree in Bio-engineering, both from East China University of Science and Technology.
