Ric Oliva

Ric Oliva is a Senior SQL Server DBA & Developer at Emergent Software. Ric has over 20 years of experience in the IT field. Ric has worked as a database administrator, faculty member, retreat staff, and sales associate. Ric has also served on the school board for Bloomington Public Schools. Ric is passionate about using their skills to help others and make a positive impact in their community.

After graduating from Kennedy High School, Ric Oliva studied music at Boston University, where they earned a Master's Degree in Music Education. Ric then went on to study Contemporary Writing and Production at Berklee College of Music. In addition to their music education, Oliva is also certified by Microsoft in Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012/2014, Power BI Data Analyst Associate, Azure Database Administrator Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate, and Microsoft Certified Professional.
