Julien Barber serves as a Growth Stage Investor focused on climate initiatives at Emerson Collective since August 2023, concentrating on investments that yield significant environmental impact and venture-scale returns. Previously, Julien held roles at The Wonderful Company, including Energy & Environmental Strategy Lead, where strategy for clean energy and climate investments was developed, and Associate Manager for Clean Energy Strategy, which facilitated the transition to 100% clean energy. As Co-Founder of Joro, Julien enabled individuals to actively engage in climate action through personal carbon footprint tracking. Additional experience includes mechanical engineering at MIT's Plasma Science and Fusion Center, evaluating clean energy solutions for NSERC, and conducting Arctic climate research aboard the CCGS Amundsen. Educational qualifications encompass an MBA from Stanford University, a Master's in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, and a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba.
