James Jenkins

James Jenkins is a highly experienced psychiatrist currently serving as a Staff Psychiatrist at Emerson Hospital since April 2020, where responsibilities include leading a psychiatric care team, performing electroconvulsive therapy, and providing psychiatric consultations. As Invited Faculty with the Psychiatry & Behavioral Health Learning Network since October 2019, James has contributed to national and regional conferences through lectures and educational materials for continuing medical education credits. Previous roles include Staff Psychiatrist at Massachusetts General Hospital, where a diverse range of psychiatric services were provided, and a solo private practice that focused on treating young adults with complex care needs. James also held positions at McLean Hospital as both a Staff Psychiatrist and Medical Director. Academic credentials consist of a Doctor of Medicine from Penn State College of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Providence College.
