Delisa Smith

Delisa Smith, CCS, CPC, is an accomplished medical coding and transcription professional with extensive experience in diverse healthcare settings. Delisa has served as a Medical Coding Specialist at Emerus since April 2017, focusing on abstracting and reviewing CPT/ICD codes across multiple Emergency Room Facilities in the United States, and managing claims resolution. Concurrently, Delisa has been a Medical Transcriptionist at Laredo Regional Medical Center since 2007, where responsibilities include editing and transcribing radiology reports. Prior experience includes roles at M*Modal as a Coder I, HDS2Coder, and HDSA, where Delisa specialized in coding for various outpatient and ancillary specialties and provided training to new staff. As the Owner/Operator of Choatex Transcribing from 1997 to 2015, Delisa gained over 19 years of acute care transcription experience.
