Emili Hernandez

Emili Hernandez is an experienced R&D Manager and Autonomy Lead at Emesent since August 2020, previously holding roles as a Senior Research Engineer. Before joining Emesent, Emili worked at CSIRO from April 2013 to July 2020 as a Senior Research Scientist and Team Leader, where notable achievements included developing a 3D real-time map building software and improving calibration strategies for multi-sensor payloads. Earlier research experience includes a postdoctoral position at the University of Girona, where Emili designed a 3D vision system for train component inspection and contributed to the development of path planning algorithms. Emili's education includes a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Universitat de Girona, complemented by advanced studies and a Master's degree in the same field.
