Jeanine McHugh

Jeanine McHugh currently serves as General Counsel and Corporate Secretary at Emigrant Bank since July 2021. Prior to this role, Jeanine held various significant legal positions, including General Counsel for Retail Banking and Wealth Management at HSBC from June 2013 to July 2021, where responsibilities encompassed managing the Corporate Legal Department and serving as Disclosure Counsel for US public reporting entities. Earlier experience includes serving as Assistant General Counsel at Pitney Bowes and Associate General Counsel at Luxottica Group, as well as an Associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where Jeanine specialized in mergers and acquisitions and capital markets. Additional roles included providing legal support as Executive Director and Counsel at Goldman Sachs International and consulting at KPMG Deutsche Treuhand Gesellschaft. Jeanine holds a JD from the University of Miami School of Law and a BA in International Relations from the University of Pennsylvania.
