Jim Austin

Lead Teacher at eMindful

Jim Austin has worked in a variety of roles since 1988. Jim began their career as a Senior Software Engineer at Wang Labs in 1988, and then moved on to the Unitarian Universalist Association in 1993 where they served as Director of the IT Department and Senior Programmer. In 2004, they began working as a Yoga Teacher at Serenity Yoga and Health, and as an independent contractor at Self Employed. In 2007, they took on the role of Administrative Director at the Cambridge Insight Meditation Center, and in 2011 they began working at eMindful Inc as a Lead Teacher and eLearning Instructor in Mindfulness Techniques and Stress Reduction. In 2012, they took on the role of Wellness Instructor at Partner's Health Care.

Jim Austin's education history includes a Certificate from UMass Chan Medical School in 2011 in Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, an Advanced Study and Practice Program from BCBS in 2006-2007 in Buddhist Studies, a Certificate from Northeastern University in 1980-1981 in Computer Technology/Computer Systems Technology, a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music in 1975-1978 in Composition, and Liberal Arts studies at Eckerd College from 1969-1972.
