Willem Bekooy

Willem Bekooy has over 20 years of experience in the maritime industry. Willem has held various management positions in operations and development at companies such as Emirates Shipping Line, NileDutch, United Arab Shipping Company, CNC Lines, Maersk, Maersk Information Processing, GTS, Suez Canal Container Terminal, APM Terminals, and APM Terminals Rotterdam. Their most recent role was as VP Operations at Emirates Shipping Line, where they have been since 2018. Overall, their experience spans a range of responsibilities including operations management, business process management, implementation/training, and development.

Willem Bekooy attended Louise de Coligny High School from 1974 to 1980. From 1980 to 1984, they pursued higher education at HZ University of Applied Sciences, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nautical studies and a Bachelor's degree in Marine Science/Merchant Marine Officer.
