Bas van der Horst

Bas van der Horst has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Bas is currently the Managing Director at Emixa Application & Integration Solutions, where they develop innovative software solutions for companies to excel in the market. Bas is also a Co-Founder of Pokket, a tool that provides financial advisors with insight into mortgage possibilities and associated risks. Additionally, they are a Co-Founder of PSOhub, a PSA software built for small businesses to enhance their HubSpot ROI.

In the past, Bas has served as a Member of the Investment Committee at OndernemersLift+, providing analysis and feedback for the awarding of pre-seed loans to innovative entrepreneurs. Bas has also worked as a Country Manager for QlikTech Benelux, a leader in user-driven Business Intelligence.

Before that, Bas held roles such as Senior Product Manager at ADP Nederland, CEO at Orange Pepper, and COO/CIO + Co-Founder at factoryZOO & Vitamust. Bas began their career as an e-Business consultant at Viamet/IBM Global Services.

Bas van der Horst earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree from the University of Derby from 1997 to 1999. Prior to that, they completed a degree in Technische Bedrijfskunde from Fontys University of Applied Sciences from 1993 to 1997. Their secondary education was at Sint-Odulphuslyceum, where they obtained a HAVO degree from 1988 to 1993. In addition, they obtained a certification as a Mendix Rapid Developer from Mendix in 2013.
